Hawken closed beta primed for late October

Register for a chance to get in on the action

A closed beta for Hawken will be hosted on October 26 to October 29, the game's publisher has confirmed.

Hawken is the awesome-looking free-to-play first-person mech shooter from developer Adhesive Games and publisher Meteor Entertainment.

The 'initial closed beta' at the end of this month will open the game up to a greater number of players than were allowed to take part in previous Alpha testing sessions.

"HAWKEN's Alpha 2 testing was great. We broke a lot of things and that's good. The more that we find wrong now the smoother open beta will go," said Meteor Entertainment CEO Mark Long.

To be in with a chance of participating in the closed beta you'll need to register over on the game's official site, then cross every crossable limb on your body.

Hawken is one of the first games confirmed to support the impressive Oculus Rift 3D virtual reality headset.
