iPad Mini: Apple sends out October event invites

"We've got a little more to show you"

Apple has begun distributing invites to an event set for October 23, where it's widely expected to officially reveal the iPad Mini.

As usual, the invites contain a short teaser, which reads, "We've got a little more to show you."

All things 'little' will be the theme of the event, if widespread rumours turn out true, as Apple is expected to reveal a new iPad Mini along with a 13-inch Retina Macbook Pro, and a new Mac Mini.

The iPad Mini in particular has been heavily rumored in recent months. Bloomberg sources claimed in August that the device will feature a 7.85 inch display from AU Optronics and LG.

Wall Street Journal also recently claimed that mass production of the Mini had kicked off ahead of the unannounced device's expected launch later this month or early next.

Alleged iPad mini photos were also published online last month.

The October 23 event will kick off at 10am Pacific Time (6pm UK Time), and is being hosted at the California Theater in San Jose.
