Silent Hill Downpour update 'fixes' save system, frame rate

Konami has issued a patch for Silent Hill Downpour on Xbox 360.
The patch introduces some major fixes affecting the game's save system and frame rate. Konami say's it's also fixed "bugs in 'Homeless' side quest/mission", along with "several other performance enhancements/bug fixes".
The patch is available to download for Xbox now, while Konami says the PS3 version will receive a patch "in the coming weeks".
The developer has also confirmed today the the full game will be released as a digital download on Xbox 360 via Games on Demand on October 30 for $39.99.
In our Silent Hill Downpour review we said that game had "promising ideas buried by lack of focus".
