Zynga loses CFO David Wehner to Facebook

Another exec leaves troubled social gaming firm

Zynga's chief financial officer David Wehner has quit the firm for a position at Facebook.

According to Gamasutra, Wehner has taken a 'senior finance position' at social website giant, and is to be replaced at Zynga by the firm's chief accounting officer Mark Vranesh.

"Mark Vranesh and I have been close partners during my tenure at Zynga and I wish my colleagues well as the company continues to deliver on its vision," said Wehner.

This adds to an alarming string of significant resignations at Zynga in recent months, including Words with Friends creators Paul and David Bettner, chief marketing and revenue officer Jeff Karp and infrastructure CTO Allan Leinwand, second-in-command John Schappert, chief creative officer Mike Verdu, vice presidents Bill Mooney and Brian Birtwistle, and several others.
