We put in plenty of time with the sequel to bring you our 9.4 Far Cry 3 review in which we said the shooter is "one of this year's best games" and "an experience you have to sink your (bloody) teeth into".

While we were at it we also captured footage of the campaign's opening mission. The game takes place on The Rook Islands, a tropical paradise full of horrors and misery.

You play as Jason Brody, one of a group of stranded tourists, who's forced to confront twisted inhabitants and go on his own journey into insanity if he's to survive and rescue his friends.
