GTA V: Petition for PC edition draws 47,000 signatures

But Rockstar has not claimed it will snub the PC for next project

A petition to persuade Rockstar Games to release GTA V on PC has attracted more than 46,000 signatures.

Grand Theft Auto fan Mike Julliard opened the petition by claiming that GTA "is an amazing PC game and the idea of it not being on PC is a mistake!"

Julliard said the reason for the petition on, is to show Rockstar how many people want to see GTA V available on PC.

Rockstar hasn't ruled out releasing GTA V on the platform, however, and a port is likely. Rockstar vice president Dan Houser stated earlier this month that GTA V on PC and Wii U were up for consideration.

The petition reads:
To: Rockstar Games,

Please release GTA V on PC. GTA games have been a large part of so many peoples lives and it's a big shame not seeing the newest iteration of the game being released on the most powerful platform. Things like modifications have always been a HUGE part of PC gaming and modded GTA is some of the most insanely fun times you can have.

I hope you consider the release of GTA V on PC as it'll make many people very happy!

At the time of writing the petition has gained support from 47,000 people, and needs 57,000 in total.

GTA V is out on Xbox 360 and PS3 in Autumn 2013.
