Next Hitman game: 'Concept art' surfaces from Square Enix Montreal

Studio sketch possibly related to its debut project

Square Enix Montreal may have revealed the first concept art for the next Hitman game.

In a post on the studio's website detailing its recent presence at the Montreal International Game Summit (MIGS), Square Enix Montreal published a number of pictures offering a look at the company and its work.

These included the image to the right, along with the words: "The studio's abundant artistic talent was on display in the mini-gallery bordering the conference rooms."

While unconfirmed, the artwork may depict Agent 47 strolling into a courthouse dressed as a police officer.

Established this year, Square Enix Montreal has been tasked with building "AAA games for tomorrow's audiences", with its first project "a new premium quality game" in the Hitman franchise.

Square Enix Montreal's Hitman game will offer a "fresh perspective" on Agent 47, according to IO Interactive's Tore Blystad, director of the just launched Hitman Absolution.

Square Enix Montreal also posted the artwork below on its website. It shows off work entered into the MIGS Sketch Duel by the studio's art director and senior concept artist.
