Microsoft has claimed to have sold 750,000 Xbox 360 units in US last week, outnumbering the undoubtedly stock-constrained Wii U sales significantly.
That figure accounts for sales from Sunday, November 18 to Friday, November 23 - which in US is Black Friday week, when most major stores host deep sales and midnight openings.
Crucially, it was also the Wii U launch week in the region (released on Nov. 18), during which Nintendo claims to have sold 400,000 Wii U units in the States.
Microsoft says its Xbox sales "exceeded internal forecasts".
Xbox LIVE Gold Subscription sales also saw a surge of more than 50 per cent compared to last years Black Friday week, and US entertainment application hours logged on Xbox LIVE during the week of Black Friday was up 43 per cent over last year.
