Mass Effect 3 DLC: BioWare 'all hands on deck' for next add-on

Upcoming content has "high potential for tears", may involve the Citadel

BioWare says it's hard at work on new Mass Effect 3 DLC.

"It's all hands on deck for this one," BioWare designer Jos Hendriks wrote on the studio's official forums. "Pretty much every ME3 DLC writer here in Edmonton is involved."

Based on the apparent scale of the production and the returning talent, the DLC is expected to be single player focused, and it's rumoured to involve the Citadel, the deep-space station which serves as the capital of the Citadel Council.

Seth Green, who voices Normandy pilot Joker, looks set to return after BioWare voiceover director and producer Caroline Livingstone tweeted last week: "@SethGreen Thank you for yet another fantastic session. And thank you for being such a kind person."

Eurogamer, which scraped together the above information, also reports that Raphael Sbarge, the voiceover artist for squadmate Kaiden Alenko, tweeted that he was back in the recording studio at the end of October, suggesting his character's also involved in the upcoming DLC.

And Mass Effect trilogy composer Sam Hulick tweeted: "What I'm up to lately: working on an unannounced Mass Effect 3 DLC."

"Tossing in piano and muted strings for this one particular piece," he added. "High potential for tears."

BioWare Montreal said last month that Mass Effect 4 will be powered by EA's Frostbite engine and explore "new directions", both on the gameplay and story fronts.
