Update: Dead or Alive 5 Plus: Not the first screenshots

Tecmo admits screens are not from the Vita game

Tecmo Koei has released the first screenshots for the Vita version of Dead or Alive 5.

Update:As some of you may have suspected from the resolution of these screens, it turns out they're not from the Vita version. "The screenshots we have in the DEAD OR ALIVE 5 PLUS album are from the console version. We will be releasing more screens soon," said a Tecmo rep via Facebook. Tecmo has, however, revealed the first details on new Vita features, including touch controls and a first-person view mode.

Yosuke Hayashi, head of developer Team Ninja, said earlier this month that Dead or Alive 5 Plus is planned for release "at an early stage of next year".

"DOA5's arrival on a new hardware will bring new players to the existing communities and our loyal and core fans can now practice and brush up their skills anywhere they want.

"Be assured that features which are appealing as the DOA5 Plus name reads are planned", he added, which we think means the Vita version will feature unique enhancements and features.
