Steam for Linux enters open beta

20th Dec 2012 | 19:56

Valve has opened up the Steam for Linux beta client to all Steam users.

Until now, the beta had been closed off for invite-only participants, which began testing in November.

"With a growing catalog of Linux-supported games, an active Steam for Linux community group, and a new GitHub bug reporting repository, the timing's right to jump in and share your feedback," says Valve.

Links and more info are over on the Steam site.

Valve today kicked off its Steam Holiday sale, offering deep discounts on individual games, 'Franchise Packs' and publisher bundles.
