Japan: Animal Crossing, 3DS top final chart of 2012

3DS games took five of the top ten spots on the final weekly Japanese chart of 2012, helping the handheld maintain its comfortable lead on the hardware sales table.
Animal Crossing: New Leaf topped the software chart ahead of new Level 5 release Fantasy Life, New Super Mario Bros. 2, One Piece: Romance Dawn - Bouken no Yoake and Paper Mario: Sticker Star.
On the hardware front 3DS sold 267,000 units, compared to Wii U's 77,000, PS3's 54,000, PSP's 34,000 and Vita's 18,000, according to Famitsu data republished on NeoGAF.
Yesterday Famitsu released a list of the top-selling console games and systems in Japan last year.
