Nvidia Shield: Hands-on video shows what powerful handheld can do

Watch it running Tegra optimised Android titles and streamed PC games

Earlier this week graphics card producer Nvidia announced project Shield, a handheld device powered by a Tegra 4 processor and an Android operating system, and hands-on footage with the device has now appeared online demonstrating its game-playing capabilities.

Shield boasts a 5-inch retina-display touchscreen, and can play Android titles as well as stream full games directly from a PC, provided it's outfitted with a GeForce GTX 650 card or higher.

The handheld can also be attached to a HDTV via the HDMI port and used as a home console. See it in action below.
