Apple 'will continue growing its home entertainment interests'

Apple CEO Tim Cook has hinted at the company's plans to expand its home entertainment interests.

Speaking at Apple's quarterly earnings call earlier today, Cook announced a healthy increase in Apple TV sales, with a total of 2 million units sold during Q1 - an increase from last quarter's $1.3 million.

"There's a lot we can do in this space," Cook said during his address, "So we continue to pull the string to see where it leads us."

Still, the company has sold 47.8 million iPhones during Q1 - dwarfing Apple TV sales - with a reported total revenue during Q1 of $54.5 billion and $13.1 billion profit overall.

Not all is rosy for Apple however: the company's shares dropped to an 11-month low recently following reports the company has cut iPhone production levels on lower than expected demand.
