Ouya controller redesigned following 'dev feedback'

Slight tweaks include improved D-pad; better thumbsticks

The Ouya controller has been given an overhaul based on feedback received from developers, the new console's designer has said.

The changes are explained in a new blog on Ouya's official site. They include a move from a 'disc' to a 'cross' D-pad design, better grip material on the thumbsticks, a more responsive touch pad and a better battery bay.

Other changes include smoothing out the trigger buttons, which involved making them "more flush with the body of the controller".

The full details are on the Ouya dev blog. Check out the new controller below. The first batch of Ouya dev kits shipped late last year.
