Revealed at a Final Fantasy 25th anniversary event in September last year and set for release some time in 2013, the game is billed as the last entry in the "Lightning saga". It'll feature the FFXIII heroine in a tense finale as a doomsday clock counts down 13 days until the end of the world.

Earlier this month Square Enix released a re-edited and 'extended' Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII trailer.
