Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will maintain a tradition of the MGS series with a VR Missions mode.
That's according to a report in Japan's Dengeki magazine (via Siliconera), which says the missions will be delivered as optional download content.
The magazine also says 'sub stories' starring some of the game's 'other characters' will also be released as DLC.
Aside from the screenshot shown, no further info was released.
VR Missions first appeared in the original Metal Gear Solid game on PS1 in the form of training missions for Snake which took place in futuristic Tron-like virtual reality environments. They offered players simple micro-challenges testing their speed, stealth and aiming skills.
Konami announced this week that every copy of Metal Gear Rising: Reveangeance sold in Australia and Europe will include a code for the Cyborg Ninja DLC.
