Capcom profit up, but Resident Evil 6 fails to meet expectations

Capcom has announced positive financial results for the first three quarters of its financial year ending March 31 2013.
For the nine months ended December 31 2012, net sales were up 44.6 per cent year-over-year, while net income leaped 104.9 per cent to 6,645 million yen.

The publisher said in November that it plans to increase its internal development staff from 1,500 to 2,500 over the next decade, allowing it to move outsourced operations in-house in a bid to improve the quality of its output.
