Sony is expected to reveal PlayStation 4 at an event in New York later this month, and Quantic Dream founder Cage told IGN: "I can't really talk about the PlayStation 4. We're so impressed by what can still be done with the PlayStation 3. We can't wait to see what can be done with PlayStation 4."
On the subject of making games for Vita, he added: "We are really committed to work on PlayStation 3 and the future console, this is really what we want to focus on right now. This is not against the Vita, this is just what we started working on now, there's no short term plan to work on Vita."
He also confirmed that the Beyond: Two Souls release date is still scheduled for 2013. "Beyond is almost in beta," he said. "It will come out this year and the release date will be announced soon."
Cage said previously that the PS3 exclusive "is very different from Heavy Rain, probably much more than people can imagine".
