Initially refused classification under the old guidelines in 2011, Warner Bros submitted Mortal Kombat: Komplete Editionunder the new laws late last month. The move has been successful, with the title being granted an R18+ rating.

The news comes as proof that the new R18+ rating will cater for titles that may have been refused classification under the old system. An exact release date has yet to be set.
