Kevin Conroy, the voice of Batman in The Animated Series and Rocksteady's recent Arkham games, has confirmed he will reprise his role for Batman: Arkham Origins.

Following the reveal of Arkham Origins, it was widely reported a new voice actor will be cast as the Dark Knight. However, Conroy revealed he will once again be voicing the character at Dallas Comic Con.

"I can talk about it now," he said during a panel. "We've been working for about nine or ten months on the next Arkham game. We all signed contracts so we weren't allowed to talk about it. The studio likes to completely control the rollout of any product, so they don't like us to talk about anything, but it's now been announced.

"It's an unbelievable game, I still can't say anything about it, and you don't want me to anyway because it will ruin it for you, but it's amazing. It's a huge, huge cast, and a big story. It took almost a year of writing to put it together. They've been working on it a long time."

Arkham Origins takes place in Batman's formative years. On Christmas eve Black Mask places a hit on Batman's head, offering a fortune to whoever takes out the caped crusader. Assassins and supervillains from across the DC Universe converge on Gotham to take their shot.

Origins is the first game in the series not to be developed by Rocksteady Studios, it is instead in production at WB Montreal, which has been given full access to Rocksteady's modified Unreal engine.

Warner has confirmed the Batman: Arkham Origins release date as October 25 for Wii U, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. A spin-off title, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate, has also been announced for 3DS and PS Vita.

Reports have indicated Arkham Origins will have a multiplayer mode, making it the first in the series to include such a feature.
