Batman: Arkham Origins official trailer released

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has released a five-minute trailer for Batman: Arkham Origins.

The trailer is an extended version of the teaser released last week, and shows Batman dispatching some of goons before taking on Deathstroke and coming face-to-face with Black Mask.

Arkham Origins takes place on Christmas eve, early in Batman's career. Black Mask places a hit on Batman's head, resulting in assassins and supervillains from across the DC Universe to descend on Gotham City, with hopes of taking down the Bat.

Origins is the first game in the series not to be developed by Rocksteady Studios, it is instead in production at WB Montreal, which has been given full access to Rocksteady's modified Unreal engine.

Kevin Conroy has revealed he will return voice Batman in Arkham Origins, contrary to earlier reports.

Warner has confirmed the Batman: Arkham Origins release date as October 25 for Wii U, Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC. A spin-off title, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate, has also been announced for 3DS and PS Vita.

Reports have indicated Arkham Origins will have a multiplayer mode, making it the first in the series to include such a feature.
